Ian if I understand you correct you talk about the Oribi Fred had. Before I bought mine I was interested in buying that Oribi but was concern about the 582 it ended up with. But that was also a very nice aerie. Fred sold it eventialy. He had a few engin outs with that other engine.

I fly back from Ellisras yesterday between 9h00 and 12h00. I flew threw a cross wind of 25 to 30 kts according aviation weather. Total distance 151 miles and took me 2 hours cruise at 75 miles ground speed. I origenaly thought it will be a dificult flight. It was abit bumpy over mountains but generaly the Savannah handle conditions very well. The landing was a bit tricky well a wind pumping at 20 to 30 miles and was gusty as well.

Hi All,

I am looking for a Savannah to build hours on towards my CPL.

I am a responsible 28 year old with a PPL (Night Rating & Taildragger Rating) with several similar "lighter types" on my licence (Cubby, Tecnam, Jabi, Sports Cruiser etc)
I already have the Savannah on my license and recently conducted a further 10 Hour training course on it.

Any savannah owners in the Gauteng area who would like to see their aeries be busier please get in touch.

I am willing to commit and fly on a regular basis.
