Re: SAGPA

VT, Please read the quote you inserted again. I was TOLD..... I am not insinuating any thread to anyone, just stating the remarks made to me during conversations when we submitted the MOP. I am not involved in any investigation and never was, so no intention to scare anybody. The fact that ATF are s...

Re: Gyrocopter world record

Hi T-bird, hope you are well. I think you refer to the record set by Athur Kempele (please don't kill me for the spelling) I attended speech one day where he told us on all the preparation and the attempt itself. It was done close to Piet Retief (outside busy airspace) and if my memory serves me I t...

Re: SAGPA

First I thought here we go again not to gain any new info on this subject, but I felt like adding my 2c worth. 1. During my term as Vice Chair of Sagpa we were pressurised (and helped a lot) by RAASA to register as a ARO( Aviation Recreational Organisation) and I was instrumental to prepare the MOP ...

Re: Tandem vs Side by Side; Perfect vs Ideal.

Very interesting discussion and also useful information and opinions for the non-gyro pilots to understand the wonderful machines we fly. It is very interesting to note that on a question to the owner of the Auto-Gyro factory on the spread of models they manufacture (deliver one per day for every wo...

Re: WANTED :ROTAX 914 ENGINE

Have a Rotax 914 with 500 hours available at R500 000.

What you do with the attached Magni M22 in perfect condition is totally up to you.

Re: CAA RAMP INSPECTIONS

Hi Mak.

Cannot agree with you more.

A copy of a valid ATF is suppose to prove almost all of the relevant paperwork as these are required to obtain an ATF, and if not make it part of the paper stack.

Re: CAA RAMP INSPECTIONS

This is a very positive point of departure and I need to address the Gyro situation only (being on Gyrotalk and flying a Gyroplane myself) First we need to understand which items on this list are exempt as per my earlier understanding as a SAGPA committee member. It would be great to get an officia...

This is your opportunity.

Buy one of these and sell when your new Gyro arrives.

Just out of curiosity, what did you buy?

Re: News from DownUnder

I would love to refurbish/restore and fly an original Benson (with a 2 Stroke Rotax rather of course).
Anyone know of one lying around that needs a loving home?

Len

Here are two at Plettenberg Bay, one flying.

Will try and get contact details in September while I am down there

Re: Aero Club Insurance scheme

Hi Gyrosa. Not all the facts below are 100% correct although you are correct to state that at the moment there is not any cover for AP's. I attended the Aeroclub bi-monthly meeting and the chairman committed to have an answer (maybe even cover) within a week. Will keep you all posted. What are the c...
