Re: Compulsory Registration of Aerodromes

Thanks Justin. This puts the moans and bitches of compulsory membership into perspective. I thought only Raasa subcontracted CAA duties and the Aeroclub represented pilots. Maybe the Aeroclub should communicate their stance and progress to the collective10 000 plus membership on how they are opposin...

Re: Compulsory Registration of Aerodromes

Has Misasa through Aeroclub made representation? Surely all members of Aeroclub would be a an automatic significant number?

Re: Resignation as Chairman (Resolved)

My thoughts only. Since open debate is being encouraged as various issues come to the fore, I think the topic name should be changed to Misasa issues, or such like. Event hosting, compliance and liability, Hosting events is part and parcel of promoting our sport. Leaving the patch to Fly into a brea...

Re: Potties Patrollie Africa cup

Dankie Nico. You capture the spirit of trike flying perfectly. Hopefully with more posts on the forum new pilots will be encouraged to join.

Can you share your gps co-ords of your recommended out landing strips so others can save for a reference?

Re: Resignation as Chairman

Agree. Don't shoot the last volunteers. There's not enough perks to endure the hassles.

Re: Resignation as Chairman

I think we're in a precarious state where all the Misasa volunteers will say "what for?" Everyone on the committee is more than capable and a loss of one will be felt. I take my hat off to the ungrateful task of pleading for content and then producing a quality mag, others wading through arbitory le...

Re: MISASA Satisfaction Survey

I think most guys view the forum from a phone whilst on the go and after following the link, reading through the intro and then needing to log on- account- password- couldn't be bothered. Got to be a simpler way.

Re: Centurion Flight Academy open for business

Hip. Flew from Eagles Creek the other day around 14h00 -about 2 miles from an existing microlight strip with no transponder hassles- via Pinedene route. No air traffic heard. Must be afgas issue.

Thought I woke up Waterkloof who just said 'remain 6000ft and report outbound'.

Re: Centurion Flight Academy open for business

Don't know. My interpretation is all who are entitled to fly in that airspace - outside Lanseria ATC, are allowed to land where their license privileges afford them. If no transponder required in that area then it can't be mandatory at a private airfield.

Re: Centurion Flight Academy open for business

A legal process eliminating the trustee imposing restrictions and unreasonable conditions to hangar owners' rights of access, their clients or visitors and ability to carry out their functions as they see fit. This can probably be interpreted as anyone free fly in to visit a hangar owner so long as ...

Centurion Flight Academy open for business

Good news. I believe Flo from Centurion Flight Academy now enjoys unrestricted access at Eagles Creek to operate the flight school and maintenance service.

So anyone welcome to fly anything in for maintenance, renewals, AP's, LSA ratings, tail dragger endorsements without restriction.
