Re: Radio noise at high rpm...

John and others, if you can imagine a single cylinder compressor or water pump, this will normally be drive by a rotating device such as a motor or enjin etc. it will produce a "pulsed" output, ie spurts of pressurised water or air. Re: Radio noise at high rpm...

Nico, so correct, but before we add more info, need to confirm the exact radio, if its a 210, dont think they have a ANL function like the others, then it becomes hard work to fix. The VXA220 and the FTA230 and the 300 etc have this function which will nail it.

Re: Where to repair icom a23 radio

Sorry to advise the ICA5/23 is an orphan, we cant hey spares for them. Most common fault is the power jack comes off the pcb and may be given a 30 % chance of fixing it. So if you have a unit, then if it goes pop. Thats it Multisource dont have spares any more.

Re: PLACES TO VISIT IN THE UK.

Vernon, i am a pure Cornishman, trust me its great in the summer but in winter its hectic. But if you have the tenacity, why not try geocaching in the UK. Your family should be able to show you around but the Imperial war museum, London transport museum, RAF Hendon, RAF Cosford at Telford, see Blist...

Re: PLACES TO VISIT IN THE UK.

Vernon, if you can get to Yeovilton, the Fleet Air Arm museum is well worth a visit. Mainly Naval Aviation. At present most of Somerset is under water. But maybe worth a call to see if they are open. See http://www.fleetairarm.com/ Also the De Havilland aircraft museum is worth a look. http://www.de...
