Recommended Prop for Rotax 503 B Box
I have a PProp on my trike with Rotax 503 B Box. IMO My rpm is a bit high .. 6000rpm in neutral cruise with 1 up. What should the typical cruise rpm be on my setup, and what prop pitch is recommended?

Re: 503 Carburator Vibration
Thanks Kloot. Today I confirmed that all cables have enough slack. I also swapped the two carburator mount rubbers. Front carburator still vibrates.

Re: 503 Carburator Vibration
From around 5500rpm. Below that I do not see any vibration. My prop has a fine pitch to I spent much time at high revs.

503 Carburator Vibration
I am noticing while in flight at cruising rpm that my Windlass 503 DCDI's front carburator vibrates notably, while the back carburator (i.e. one closest to prop) appears to have no vibration at all. If that does not put you in a trike flying mood nothing will. Great video.

LED-Based Navigation Lights
I am looking into LEDs to be used as navigation lights. Can any of you clever guys recommend specific LEDs that may be worth a look at, or perhaps which suppliers may be able to assist?

Re: Which ratio for C Box
It is more than likely a 3.47:1.
IIRC - The 4:1 ratio was mostly used with the 6-blade IVO combination, which is not that common anymore. The 2.62:1 is mostly used where you swing a small diamater prop (e.g. due to tail boom restrictions).

Thanks Boet. I knew Loftus. Met him on a Bundu Bash. Him ariving from VRD in his old trike, with pots and pans hanging below it. What a great and memorable guy he was!

Yes. It is a German design. Trike was branded XXStyle. IIR they only built 1 prototype.
