Re: What happened to Sycamore south of Rhino park ?

Before I could even complete the story he said, over temp and asked if the rings have seized, to which I had to reply yes. The headbolts will strech causi...

Re: North Meets South 2012

Although most Gyro's are based in Gauteng I don't recommend Gauteng. What was nice about Gariep is the fact that we all were stuck there and had to "kuier" (that means socialising Ozgyro) all the time. If we do it in Gautend it will become a day event and not a weekend event. I heard rumours that th...

Re: Emergency Procedures

I think we need some input from the instructors here. Must though state that we are not promoting emergency landing procedures without the engine running. You must practise the standard simulation over and over again and discuss the engine out with your instructor prior to attempting this. Yes we al...

Back in the saddle again. And now I want to clear two things in my own mind. If anything unexpected ha...

Re: NB: Aeroclub Frustration - Comments Please!

I am the Secretary for SAGPA. None of our members have received any renewal notices for the 2011 year. After much asking we received a list of members indicating those that have paid. SAGPA then sent out our own renewal notices to all and we got several angry replies back from members with proof of ...

Re: Database

I was involved in the accident on Saturday and only had the contact details for the pilots home number on my phone as we have shared a hanger. It was hell not being able to contact his wife for hours to tell het about her husband. We can be in a situation where we require important info from her tha...

Re: Intercom in an open gyro: What's the answer?

Some more useless info.

ZU-LEN is my hanger partner and I sent him the Filser manual last night, as he has exactly the same problem with the intercomm.

I will tell him that his transmission are 100%
