Hi Mike My 912uls EGTs are about the same as yours, about 100 deg difference. I fretted about this in the beginning about 70 hours ago and went to great lengths to try to get them even, going through the full carb balancing proceedure to no avail. I don't have any excessive vibration, the EGT probes...

TOP JOB Rudi!
Very nice to see this done properly and shared as well. Although I am not currently running a 2 stroke I have archived all this for future reference. Thank you. Aside from that, I am not able to view your jpegs on the forum (viewed them on your site). Any tips anybody?

Hi Hazzard
You have a class engine, don't skimp on the instruments.
All essential but what I would consider in order of importance for any 4 stroke, espetially water cooled.
1. Oil pressure
2. CHT
3. EGT
4. AMPS
Cheers

Hi Mike There is no limitation that I am aware of between EGTs or CHTs on the same engine. The main purpose of EGTs on opposite sides of the engine is to monitor the mixtures of the separate carbs. The important thing to watch for is a change in the trend when you do your panel scan. When setting up...

Hi Arnulf Yes you do need the return fuel line. The purpose of the return is to vent any excess pressure produced by whatever pump or pumps you have in the system back to the tank, thereby preventing the excess pressure from overcoming the float valves in the carbs. Do you have the required jet in t...

Hi KFA
You must be the guy Monty told me about.
Got your kit yet?
I would like to meet you and see your set-up.
Could pole to you if you like and show you my plane.
I should be available in a week or so.
Cheers

Locking tailwheel

For the Bushbaby builders who want a break away tailwheel, modify that standard one, takes just a couple of hours.

Thanks for the welcome.
The pig is getting too fat to leave his house.

I am an ex Zimbo now living in Nelspruit, my current plane is a self built Bushbaby 500 which took almost exactly 3 years to complete. I hangar at Pyramid in the Barbeton valley.
