I read the word "pole" too often is the latest topics. Flynote, you will have to come to terms with the fact that your Xenon (from Pol...) is gone for ever !
You must remove that word from you vocab...

Re: Tandem vs Side by Side; Perfect vs Ideal.
how does a side by side gyro compare in all weather flying to a tandem gyro? The tandem gyro is definitely less affected by turbulence than the side by side. You have owned the 2 types like me and you should have experienced that as well. The side by side fuselage is partly a wing on its own, there...

Re: Tandem vs Side by Side; Perfect vs Ideal.
Hi Flynote, For the last 6 months I have been looking at the horrible looking single seaters from the States. I remember the fun I used to have flying in the 80's my Quicksilver MX2 at 60 km/h. Flying from Baragwanath to Rietfontein was requiring proper x-country planning, but it was the same fun as...

Re: RAF Flight Behaviour
I don't understand why so many people "demand" that the RAF be like what they currently fly. I keep on coming back to the R22 analogy, why don't we "demand" that the R22 have a HS ? The RAF does well in its category, if we don't like flying without a HS then we must not fly nor buy a RAF. It is thei...

Re: RAF Flight Behaviour
I'll come here in support of the RAF. Most gyro pilots are doing a fundamental error in comparing the RAF to any other gyro. I have been trained for a short while on the RAF and it is a safe machine if flown as a RAF is supposed to be flown. A RAF is very different to other gyrocopters, and maybe th...

Re: Handling Sense
Just spoken with Arthur, who used in a Magni Unleaded Mogas for his altitude record to 23,000 feet.
However, if any of this is true, I am sure that the Rotax agents would know about this and sent a notice to all users.

Re: Handling Sense
Would be interesting to know what fuel Arthur Gemperle used for his altitude record in a Magni a while back. If he does not read this thread, I will email him.

Re: Gyro headsets
That's a poor excuse. A simple call to explain me that you are moving would have made me wait longer.
How come again you have the time to post here right now and you have no time to call back ? You should be busy moving (or not...)
You really think that people are stupid and gobble your stories !

Re: Gyro headsets
Hi Zulu1, I find strange that you have the time to post quite a few times recently on this forum and you do not have the time ever to return a single call, after the many messages left verbally with your staff and family. It is very nice to go for new sales, but what about service of existing client...

Great show
Most affiliations were represented. LSAs were showing off their fantastic machines, what a good bunch
A breath taking aerobatic display.
On the gyro side, the steal of the show was definitely the M24 display flown by Len.
