Antifreeze
I want to flush and clean my Rotax 582 bluetop and replace coolant. Will it be OK for me to use Engen multipurpose antifreeze? or are there a specific product that MUST be used?

Re: Ze dream
A boat in rough seas was in trouble and eventually sinking. The captain made his broadcast: "May day, may day, we are sinking, we are sinking!!" At that time a german speaking guy was on duty in the radio room of sea rescue. Goes on the air and replies; "This is Conrad, what are you zinking about?" ...

Re: Facet Q
I think the pump you need is the 40105 and it often comes in a kit with number 40242. It delivers 1.5 - 4.0 psi. If you go way down this technical talk section you will come across : "Installing a backup fuel pump". Think you will find answers to all your question there. Good luck.

Radio interference from Garmin 196
My Icom A4 radio and Garmin 196 GPS are positioned about 200mm apart on my instrument panel. If I run the GPS from batteries, NO interference but if I use the GPS on the aircraft's DC supply it causes a lot of interference to the extent that the radio is unusable. I have used the radio with the shor...

Re: Wonder-whip antenna
Thanx a million for your answer to my question. What you say makes a lot of sense. I will stay away from metal as far as possible. Hope to test this tomorrow if weather permits.

Wonder-whip antenna
If I tie my homemade Wonder-whip antenna to the aluminium frame of my powerchute trike with plastic cable ties, will it be bad for the effectiveness of the antenna? That part of the frame runs 30 degrees upwards or does it have to be in more vertical position? Can I insert the full length of the ant...

Re: installing a backup fuel pump
I have done the series installation and it works well. Starting so much easier after a long stand. I have also added another fuel filter between the tank and the Facet pump- they are so cheap and worth replacing regularly.

Re: Powered Parachute
Yes, I have been flying a Buckeye Dream machine for almost 3 years now. Enjoy it very much- only my time for flying is very limited. My son is currently doing his training. My avatar shows myself and one of my sons in flight over Paradise beach airfield.

Re: Icom A4 noise
How stupid can one be?  I read the manual for the Icom A4 this afternoon- it says "do not operate in radiation environment" and was using it right next to my laptop. I walked away and immediately the noise stopped. To be quite honest I did not even know that the squelch on the A4 can be...

Icom A4 noise
If I switch my handheld on there is a noise as if the channel is in use- the busy indicator also comes on. When I touch the antenna with my hand it is silent and busy light goes out. Is this an indication of a problem or fault?
