Re: RAASA Thanks and chuckles

Thanks for the story Dish, and very happy to hear of good experiences at RAASA. However you were not helped by the same person, what you experienced was in fact two sisters who look very similar if you don’t know them. RAASA and Aero club decided to keep their office in the same building when we mov...

Re: Flying with a "disability"

Hi Head Trauma. This is the reason why we only issued Grumpy with a licence to fly circuits or cross countries in a left hand direction. Seriously, We have been approached on may occasions by people with limited use or a limb missing. There are avenues to assit you attaining a NPL depending on the s...

Re: Low Level Nuisance flying, near Wintervogel

A difficult one, since I have also been guilty. But not this Saturday. Not there. And pictures of flamingoes in flight are beautiful. Especially from above. The regulation does not state anything about a nuisance to wildlife. This is not a national park, neither is there any lower altitude limitati...

Re: RAASA Screw Up Again!! CHECK YOUR PAPERS

Hi George. Sorry for a late reply I have been on leave after the birth of my second daughter. I was upset to hear about the issues you had with your ATF and the delay at RAASA on my return, I am however glad to hear that it was sorted out by Willem. Should anybody experience any undue delays or mist...

To lazy to find my own foto's then scan right now. The foto of your wife look,s like somewhere in ET. Paradise rallye. Best rally of ...

Re: RAASA?

Hi All. Not sure why there was such a long delay in getting your documents back to you. I try and ensure that my team keeps to a very strict time line in processing applications with all the required info. Obviously if there are errors or missing documentation then this will be returned or delayed u...

Re: New regs Part 62.10

Hi All. The requirements for test pilot ratings have been in Part 62 since the start, all that has happened is that the requirements to obtain a rating have been clearly defined and amended to be in Sub part 10 of 62. Currently it refers to part 61, and this in turn refers to the ANR’s which no long...

Re: RAASA closing early

Vernon,as Deon has stated, if your licence and medical is current and you do a type conversion, you may fly providing it is endorsed by a rated instructor in your pilot logbook, you then have 30 days to submit the nessesary forms to RAASA. As for the early reminders, RAASA started with no history or...
