Re: SICK AND TIRED OF RAASA!!!
When bureaucracy get outsourced to an entity whose only reason for existence is the bureaucracy and who can only benefit from the extension of that bureaucracy... http://microlighters.co.za/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=25503&p=236780&hilit=RAASA&sid=1848b345967c7b4d7db1cfd42014bbc8#p236780 http://microlight...

Aurora Airfield
Aurora Airfield (near Piketberg) airfield is serviceable again. Over the past two years it has gone to the dogs, but Bergriver Municipality arranged for it to be scraped. It remains to be seen what will happen after the first rains, but I will attempt to maintain it. Coordinates : 32°42'50.09"S 18°2...

How is this for customer service?
My Aquilla 2 wing is veering to the left, so I thought it a good idea to get batten profile charts from the local manufacture. Emailed them and on 19/4/2016 - got an email from Craig Couzens " Batten charts are available and they cost R 50.00. Thanks Craig" 19.4.2016 "Thanks. Can you please invoice ...

RAASA, here we go again!
Here we go again. I sent in two sets of ATF renewal forms. I receive a call from RAASA asking for the weight and balance certificate for WUO. I tell them they asked me last year as well, and a 2015 WB was supplied. RAASA says they have NO weight and balance on folder. I ask how did they then issue a...

RAASAs arbitrary&inconsistent interpretation of regulations
The following to inform all microlighters not to be held ransom by RAASA. After I've submitted the paperwork for my MPL revalidation, RAASA refused on the basis that my flight test was not of one hour duration. Despite me pointing out to Mr Laubscher that they had no problem revalidating my license ...

Re: RAASA maak my RASEND
If you arrive at Raasa and you resemble your file photo then they're happy to keep the old one. Phone Pierre Loubsher and tell him the instructor did not include taxi, warm ups and pre-flight checks. This just show the burocratic w@nking. Unfortunately if you are not in Gauteng, you have to abide b...

RAASA maak my RASEND
What is with these bureaucrats. Do they want to make it so difficult that we stop flying altogether, or that we just fly without a license? I did my test (0.7 hours). This, according to the @$!#$ bureaucrats is not enough. Do they really think that an instructor will NEED that extra 0.3 hours to fin...

Re: ZU-DVE (and ZS-WUO) (and ZEE) Flight Log
That is a Wills Wing Falcon tandem wing. I've discussed with Johan, and hopefully he will manufacture me something stronger. He is adamant that the existing configuration is fine, and that it is a "operator" fault, which I accept. I just feel it should have some buffer for operator fault. In a discu...

Re: ZU-DVE (and ZS-WUO) (and ZEE) Flight Log
Been some time since I posted something here. I still fly, though not that often. Currently I have ZS-WUO at Morningstar, and ZU-DVE at Aurora (near Piketberg), and have recently done my MPL renewal with Johan van Wyk. I also started to fly the ZEE, a motorised hang glider two years ago. The Zee is ...

ZS-WUO
I am just not flying as much as I should, and WUO at Morningstar is collecting dust. I either want to sell (25K) or if there is a would-be microlighter who just cannot afford it just yet, rent it out - for little more than monthly hangarage cost and perhaps some maintenance/paperwork costs.

Re: Trailer Wanted
No purchase. Anyone know trailer manufacturers in Cape Town. Would love a trailer doubling up as an all-rounder.
