Re: Which Wing??

Luckily I will be flying "underground" here in Kenya. To register a trike and be legal you need a PPL. The Kenyan CAA do not recognize trikes let alone know what they are. There are a few here including an Aquilla and they all fly underground. I fly at high altitude and my only concern is safety for...

Re: A different perspective on Mandela.....

A well written article. This is actually the story of Africa. The bottom line is "they" dont want us anywhere in Africa. I see it here everyday in Kenya and Uganda. South Africa is no exception.

Re: Camera's on Trikes

The only thing I know about cameras and trikes is that one should not use a camera that stores data on a hard drive. It simply does not handle the vibrations. Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

Re: Should I or shouldn't I?

Hello there I am also curious to now about this. Here in Kenya trikes are not recognized by KCAA and as far as I know they are not required to be registered. There are less than 10 trikes that I know of and they all fly "illegally", taking off from private airstrips and staying well clear of restric...

And guess what: I am stuck in Uganda again, probably until Thursday next week. Nic is busy doing some research on get...

Hi All

My name is Glenn. I hail from Cape Town but currently live and work in Kenya. Been here almost 2 years now. I am also busy making arrangements to get my trike up here within the next 2 months or so.

Trike Choice

I am trying to make achoice as to what make of trike to purchase. I think the choice is between an Aquilla II and the Raptor. Both must have the Rotax 582. I will be flying in Nairobi Kenya where the ground height above sea level is between 5500 to 6000 feet. I would be landing mostly on bush airstr...
