Re: Your Flying Videos

Hi All

I have a few articles on bumps, thermals etc. and a few have mentioned a way that we can rate them.

Have a look at this video. It is only one bump a minute and a few seconds into the video.

How would you guys rate this bump; mild, medium or severe?

Re: Your Flying Videos

Hi Madman

Looks like a nice wing you have there.

Did you have it converted to topless?

Re: Your Flying Videos

Hi Guys

Here is another video from my part (temporary) of the world.

No one can say that trike flying is boring - apart from those earth bound individuals.

Enjoy.

Re: Your Flying Videos

Hi Madman

Cool footage.

I enjoyed your tree hugging experience. Glad it turned out OK. Don't know how I would have managed as am used to a 1500m runway.

Re: Your Flying Videos

Thanks Kloot. Hi Blue Max As far as I know am the only one here in this area. The radio never ever crackles to life. There is one lockable small hangar which just fits my trike. The second hangar has half a roof and no door. This time of year it is very turbulent so your window is really between 05:...

Re: Your Flying Videos

Hi Skybound

I am based in Middelburg on contract. Been here since May and expect to be here until May 2016.

Quite a turbulent area to fly around in summer.

Got really hammered from about 6000 feet on Sunday. Like to cruise at about 8000 feet. Just damn cold.

Re: THE MICROLAND THREAD..."Home of the Tailwinds"

Hi Bundy Great wright up about your trip. Nice to see you guys doing all these things together. I am all alone here and have the sky, a 1500m runway and a hangar all to myself. Can get quite lonely here, even the radio never bleeps anything. Have a look at the my video and apologies for hi-jacking y...

Re: Microlight on Floats

What about watercraft/boats/jet skiis etc. They are launched at different dams all the time and could actually contain more contaminants (especially jet skiis).

Amphibious aircraft are more 'self cleaning' by way of the wind blowing the green stuff away.
