Re: Goose-step?

Hi Manne. I have seen similar happen to a Windlass. The instructor was on the trike with his student and called for a tyre change which he was correct with. (^^) The old offending tyres was the extra wide type with tyre pressure too low causing the tyre to float around resulting in either a goose st...

Re: Rotax 582 rpm problems

Warm engines give good RPM
HOT engines loses RPM

I dont think your prop is the culprit because you had the higher RPM previously with the same prop??

Re: The Oily thing again!!

My input I have been flying on synthetic oils +- 1000 hrs with 503SI engines and has never had huge carbon build up deposits on any of the 4 engines i had. - carbon based 2 stroke oils always leaves a deposit when buning. 1st place it sticks to is your pistons compression rings and they stop expandi...

But cruise speed was slow compared with other tri...

Re: 503 Single Ignition

I have never heard anything bad about a 503SI. I have flown old single ig's and have had no problem sofar with the ignition at all. The damper box did once fail and simulated ignition problems (low power, misfire, landing in the mielies) after the complete ignition system was overhauled between me a...

Re: Part 24, Doing your own maintenance

Hi Guys I have been flying and tinkering with microlights for years and picked up a lot of experience with these things. As the earlier years at Middelburg (Ludie and friends) has tought me. Engine outs will happen!! New spark plugs also fail! That little black piece of plastic that shot away when y...
