I have 2 Buzzcom sets in good condition. You can have them. Where do you fly from?

Re: Well loved Gyro for sale

A few questions if you dont mind; John If you are close, or can make it to Pretoria, go visit Tinkerbell. Not because she's a lady, vhpy but because of her enthusiasm for the gyros. She can - will (nê Juanita) - take you for a flip in the Calidus and the side by side Zen, and all your questions wil...

Re: NIC PRINSLOO

I Agree with you, all I am trying to say is, lets learn from this. I think it is stupid of an inexperience (wanabee pilot) to buy any aircraft/Gyro without the assistance from someone that knows the market/product. We are talking a lot of money, especially if it is a Gyro and they can buy themselve...

Re: Any Chance of Gyro Flying around Joburg

Contact Matthew Zalewski when you get here. He'll sort you out. Might be able to hire and fly as well from them. Runs the flight school at Brakpan airfield. Will sort your license if needed. Unfortunately don't have his e-mail. Cell number +2783 423 2732. Maybe sent SMS for e-mail contact.

Re: Solar-Heat pump or just the geyser

Very simplistic description. In short, heat pumps take heat from the surrounding air and through mechanics heat the water. They do not work below 15°C ambient temperature. They work well in summer, but not in winter. I've installed one on my jacuzzi. 4 kW jacuzzi heater time to heat to 37°C, winter ...

Re: Gyro really the ultimate?

I would like to go and try all the enclosed ones available, Cavalon, Calidus, Xenon, M24 etc and then see what I think. Enclosed is definately nice, BUT, you must definately give the open cockpit a go as well.....see next point also. I thought a gyro would cruise at more than 80 mph as Yoda stated?...

Re: Tandem vs Side by Side; Perfect vs Ideal.

Now let the Fundis who have experience of both tell us what the differences are in terms of handeling , speed, manouverability, sociability... What compomises weigh up against each other etc. Not a fundi, but a gyro fanatic. vhpy Untill this day I do not know why I ever went for a flip in a gyro. I...

Great pics. Something one doesn't see everyday.

The first picture looks like it belongs on some kind of memorabilia. !!!!

Re: Engine quits - what now ?

How can you stay in the air longer flying upwind, or downwind. The aircraft knows nothing about the 'wind', as it is flying along with the air mass. False sense of time, cause everything happens much slower. If the wind is 10kts, and you are flying into the wind, your speed over the ground is 65kts...

Re: Engine quits - what now ?

If you fly over water, you must be gliding distance from dry land...so ,low level over water is not a good thing . Ja, ja Nico, maar ek wil weet, watter kant gaan ek kies as die enjin my los, wind op, of wind af. Upwind will give you the slowest impact speed if decent was properly managed. I ...

Engine quits - what now ?

Flying over the dam the other day, in a solid cross wind, I was wondering............. Picture the scenario. In the middle, over a dam. Quite a moderate wind from the one side - for the sake of the argument - 90 deg from the side. Engine quits. Do I turn into the wind, slower ground speed, but bette...
