Re: Synthetic oil

So now...after this lenghty discussion..... and as was said by Cali: "Cali, Castrol Super TT has been changed to " Castrol Activ 2T " and this oil is fine to use. We do not recomend the use of the other TTS one, as this oil is synthetic and attracts moisture out of the atmosphere rather than repelli...

Re: Painting advice, please?

PAINT or VINAL (Stickers)

Once the aircraft is painted white and you want lines on as a motive.....is it a must to spray them on, or would it be fine to make use of vinal or stickers or something like that?

If possible....what type is advisable and where could one buy it?

Re: 503 without top gasket ???? possible?

Hi Kloot,

Thanks for reply!

I had a look at this picture......Item 3 is described on the layout as "Gasket cilinder Head - 831881"

And yes, from the picture can see it will not be possible to see it without taking off the top!

503 without top gasket ???? possible?

Hi, My 503 is a dual ignition with approx 290 hours on. When I took off the black engine cover to clean up the engine a little....it looked like there are no top gaskets installed. You can see a definite gap between the top and cillinder. (exactly where i expected to see a little of top gasket stick...

I'll negotiate with the guys during 2010 to let us fly.....the story that gets to us via via via.... is that if you don't have transponder and flight plan, you won't fly. (this was the case during the last trials with the Confed ...

Re: Transponders

Thanks RV4ker,

That answers my question.

I'll settle for a mode C then. I would like to get into lanseria, grand central, wonderboom etc.

Transponders

Hi,

Can anyone tell me what the Transponder requirements will be in the future? Will a mode C transponder be fine for the next 10 years or will the mode S transponders become mandatory in the near future?

Thanks
