Re: Dirk & Martyn's RAVEN (2200 Jabiru): ZU-FFZ
Hi Scotsman.... The seats were done by a guy here in Rustenburg. They do car seats mainly, but have done seats for one or two of the Rustenburg homebuild aircrafts. Unfortunately, with the seating position of the RAVEN ...you will want to make the backrest as thin as possible...that will allow maxim...

Re: Transponder AERIAL
Really that easy?
Has anyone done this before? a pic or two?
It would be great.....(I believe the wire would be much less than the local SA price on these antennas - R550+)
This is the one for R550:

Transponder AERIAL
What alternatives are there to the rather expensive transponder aerials at our local shops? (starting at R500+)
There is a guy selling them in the states for $10. (R70) each?
Does anyone know of a local agent or place to get the aerials for less?
thanks

SAFETY BELTS / HARNESS - where to buy?
Where can I buy Aircraft Safety Belts? (the typical ones you get in the Boing 737?) Even Secondhand ones are fine!
I need two.
Also....what about 4-point safety harnesses? Is it worth it (incase of an accident) or won't it be much different to the normal ones?

Re: Outside Air Temp Probe Installation /
Yes...it makes sense to put it there....anywhere underneith the fuselage you might pickup heat from the exhaust gas!!
Does anyone know what effect the extended wires would have on the temp reading?

Outside Air Temp Probe Installation /
Where would be the best place in a Raven/Zodiac to install the Outside Air Temperature Probe? So as to get the most accurate reading and not a reading influenced by the engine temperature or the exhaust gas temperature?

Hi Guys, This is the Raven we are busy completing. (yes, its the one bought from James) It has the Jabiru 2200 (85hp) motor installed and we are planning on using the Jabiru 60x42 prop. IMG_0019%20%5B640x480%5D.jpg We've added an additional fuel outlet from the 65L tank (in case the current one migh...
