Raptor wing

Any experienced comment about the Raptor wing's adjustable tailing edge setting?

Hav'nt played too much but by raising the tailing edge allows for quicker lift, especially with heavy pax, although compromises speed. Simply re-adjust once straight and level.

I continually search for new posts and notice that some topics, although are not being reponded to, get high viewer ratings. Maybe, many are like me and wait to l'earn' and not able to add substance. I think, again, if the moderators could create an archive, or Sticky re; Ballistic chutes, Insurance...

Hi Big G

Why don't insurance companies acknowledge that flying with a ballistic chute minimises the life risk somewhat, and a slight premium reduction to show it?

Prop Protection

Hi, Having someone apply this thick anti -chip 3M product onto my Trikes's prop. Currently marketed to top- end motor dealers reducing stonechip and sandblast, applied to headlamps, bumpers e.t.c. Costs R100.00 per side, doing only (3 *) engine leading edge side to see how it withstands. Apparently,...

My itch started only this time last year. The first inspiration was watching the local documentary about a bunch of guys cruising the South African borders on trikes. The simplicity, slow speed and view intrigued me. Suddenly, every magazine I opened had a trike in it. When they showed the British g...

My kid's ( 2 boys 10 and 12) attitude transformation between me training to licence was remarkable. No hassles to get up at 05h30. Both are extremely comfortable flying, to the point where during during a pristine calm flight, felt very slight 'movement', only to find Jason 'flying - raised arms, an...

Was also stranded for a week without synthetic oil, appears since Castrol withdrew the batch of TTS, all the spare dealers been told still 2 weeks to delivery ( or too tired to restock) On Raptor's reccomendation, have continued with the 582's origonal synthetic type oil and ordered a case of Habot ...

Congrats, Also only 5hrs with MPL, greatest joy is flipping my kids. Before, had no chance of them getting up at 5h30, now they fight for turns. Also can be very quite, sometimes only one on the radio. The freedom also somewhat isolates you, no mates (instructor and fellow students) to chew the fat,...

Doing my first cross country, we took 1 hour 35 min from Secunda to Springs and 40 minutes to get back. Beautifull sailing till the last 15 minutes which became such a 'gat stamp' I thought is was part of an initiation shake. I suppose if tailwind does'nt exsist then the air can move pretty erratica...
