Re: PERIS JN-1

Takes a lot of guts to face the facts like that! Great candidate for honourary member of the "live cowards club" which was started by Jim Davis (as often referred to on Avcom)

I am sure you will get lots of safe enjoyment from the other project you are busy with

Re: PERIS JN-1

Hi Bushbabie

do you mind elaborating? is it a design issue, construction issue or poor safety record for the type?

its a pity since its a nice looking plane and you must have put in a lot of time and effort to get this far only then to pull the plug?

Re: Carl Babst Raven Taildragger - First Flight!!

Congrats Jacques!! This is really one of the nicest ravens around. The taildragger gear makes a huge difference! (^^) (!!). Spats will look nice but perhaps are not very practical if you are going to fly into grass/ dirt strips. Question: the stall speed seems quite high? Or was this jut the initial...

Re: Challenger II LSS

Hi Vaughn where are you based? I have been deaming of getting a share in a plane (I have a PPL, but flying bliks is simply too expensive) the other probem is my 7" frame which is not built for most aircraft. I have tried on a chally at morningstar a few weeks ago without success. But i may be able t...

Re: Ian's Savannah Project

Thanks for the update Ian. Its awsome that you have done so many hours in a plane you built! Proves that if you take care and pay attention to details when building there is no reason why a homebuilt cannot be as reliable as TCA . Fly well!! (^^) (^^)

Re: Ian's Savannah Project

Hi Ian its been a few years since your last post on this thread. I met you once at EAA wonderboom when John flow up the Sav to PTA for the first time. You were still building at the time. Do you still have your Sav and if so how is it doing? What issues have you had and are you still happt with your...

Hi Hennie. I just came across this thread an have enjoyed reading it. I can see your enthusiasm for the KR and passion for getting into the sky. Its awesome and the core of what grassroots aviation is about. I do feel compelled to give you some input as a fellow big boned pilot (I weigh 110kg:oops:....
