Look at the Garmin Virb camera, much cheaper than the GoPro especially the older version & has onboard GPS. New version more expensive but can also be used down to 40m underwater with no additional housing.
Garmin Virb also has an adpater to use all your GoPro fittings from the deceased GoPro.
