Re: What rpm on take-off should i have!
I think 6800rpm is too high for the 582. As far as I know the max rpm on take-off should be 6350-6400.
Twostrokes in general will tolerate high rpms much better than 4-strokes and in fact I think is beneficial - these machines want to work.

Re: Which battery
Hi Kingfisher,
Thanx for your post. I have ordered and it's on its way. I went for the 18Ah as you suggested.
The service from Essential Energy was very good and also the price.
Enjoy your day.

Which battery
I have a Buckeye PPC with a ETX9 battery with the Rotax 582 bluetop. It seems the battery needs to be replaced. Any recommendations - must I replace with the same? This ons served me well for 4 years. I live far from big cities- [ Bloemfontein nearest] any company with good prices that will post to ...

Empty skies
I have been here in Aston Bay on holiday since 10th Dec. For many years I have done this the same time of the year. Previously a lot of activity which I follow visually and also on my radio. This year a different story - apart from the plane dropping the skydivers only the odd aircraft or helicopter...

Re: How do i bleed the water cooled Rotax 582 blue top
If your radiator is the highest point in the system the low point drain is a small 6mm bolt on the bottom of the water pump. This will drain all the coolant out of the engine. You can then refill with flushing water and drain again a couple of times. Distilled water would be best though tap water wo...

Modifications????
Is it only me that experiences a negative undertone in my gut when I read of a modification on a machine [microlight, gyro or engines]. Surely the manufacturers have spent big $$ to develop and come up with the best combinations and solutions. Undoubtedly I will not buy a secondhand car with all sor...

Re: Inibosveldfees vith Kurt

Word of appreciation- Paul Lintott
I want to thank Paul from my heart for the great job that he has done. He walked the extra mile and supplied me with an immaculate product. At last my 3 years of frustration with my intercom/radio system has come to an end. This morning I enjoyed crystal clear communication like never before. Thanks...

Re: Rotax 582 rpm problems
I do not have an answer but is the max. RPM allowed on the 582 not 6400?
Could cause damage to your engine.
Hope you find the answer and solution to your problem.
Edit:
I have checked- see they mention 6800 max.
