Re: ZU-EXP - OUT
To Len and other contributors to this thread, I thank you all for your very kind words and Len, I would indeed like to reserve my right to provide ballast for you at some future date. Thank you so much for your kind invitation. No, no bike for me, but watch the bestsellers shelf at your local bookst...

Re: ZU-EXP - OUT
Ah Jeez, I was just saying cheers and not wanting to provoke a regurgitation of this tired debate. Although the comment was meant lightly, perhaps I should have left it out. I'm sorry you didn't see it for what it was Darren.

ZU-EXP - OUT
As I write this, good friend a fellow flying buddy Mark Bellingan is flying my beloved RAF to Upington. She's been sold, and I move on to different (although not necessarily greener) pastures. I thank everyone who I have come into contact with in the aerie world (and fellow gyronauts in particular) ...

Re: PLEASE VOTE - IDOLS (ADELINE MOCKE)
That of course is the biased view of a blood relative. My unbiased view (and I have my wife's permission to say so (-) ) is that she is a real talent with great looks in the bargain. Problem is, her dad seems to get more coverage on Idols night than she does! Go the Mockes - vote 13 (^^) (^^) (^^)

Re: WELL DONE GARMIN!!
Thanks for the feedback. Jeez, I almost wish I had never heard that this asshole had my Garmin. It makes my blood boil to think that this p@#k is just down the road from me . I tried to call him to 'have a chat', but he won't answer.

WELL DONE GARMIN!!
I thought I would share this feelgood story with other aviation enthusiasts, although there is not a happy ending....... just yet: My Garmin 296 was stolen from my car in Bantry Bay in August last year after a break in. Regrettably it wasn't insured and I had to bite the bullet for my loss :( . Out ...

Re: BCAR-T Questions
I'm not sure that I understand what this report has to do with the fact that the RAF appears (and please correct me if I am wrong) to be the only gyro type in SA which has been required to comply with the BCAR-T standard. Can anyone answer the succinct question?

Re: BCAR-T Questions
Hi Len. Having been one of the RAF buyers caught up in this BCAR mess and frustratingly unable to fly for a number of months, I have sympathy with your position ........... however, I have a solution! Buy my beautiful BCAR-compliant RAF from me for half the price you've paid, offload your new aerie ...

Not exactly on point, but I am again reminded why I skirt around townships and informal developments. Friendly forces are generally few and far between

Re: Saldanha Breakfast Fly-In
V, when about 2 miles S of Langebaan CTR (you should see the SE tip of Langebaan Lagoon and will have to proceed to Saldanha E of the Lagoon) call Langebaan on 122.5 with a "langebaan this is ???, Good Morning" They will then answer and let them know your position, altitude and intentions. They will...

Re: EPOXY (OR OTHER) FUEL FRIENDLY ADHESIVE
Thanks for the input guys, I appreciate it. Greg, the tanks and suction system are already built and installed. In fact, I've used them on a few occasions (before it became apparent that the applications had failed). It is just a small aperture (about 1.5cm) through which the aluminium sheath passes...

EPOXY (OR OTHER) FUEL FRIENDLY ADHESIVE
I wonder if anyone can assist me here. I am looking for a fuel friendly adhesive sealer for some auxiliary fuel tanks I have had fitted to my aircraft. A hole at the top of the plastic fuel tank accommodates a clear rubber tube running inside an aluminium sheath to suction the fuel, but I cannot fin...
