Re: Topless Wing

We have bee flying the first production Topless from Solo Wing for almost two years now. It is not designed for speed, but is targeted at the go everywhere type of triker who wants to take his trike with - especially on 4x4 trips. I have often driven past a beautiful piece of scenery and wished I co...

Re: Aerobatic Extravaganza - Klerksdorp

To everybody who attended, but especially the entrepid flyers from Springs - it was a great pleasure! Just one correction though, it was not the microligters who provided the free stuff - it was the Klerksdorp Pilot Association . we are one big happy family of flyers that includes us microlighters. ...

Re: Aerobatic Extravaganza - Klerksdorp

We have had enquiries regarding fuel - we have AVGAS on the field. If anybody specifically needs MOGAS, we will arrange, but you need to confirm with me personally.

Snake Aerobatic team to attend Klerksdorp Aerobatic Extravaganza on 18 & 19 October 2008. This presents a excellent opportunity for other microlights to fly with them.

Let me know if I can arrange anything for you.

Re: Aerobatic Extravaganza - Klerksdorp

Last night the Committee decided that we will sponsor a beer and braaipack to each aeroplane that confirms his attendance to the event beforehand. Obviously we cannot sponsor all 1000 aircraft (modest estimate) we expect, so this offer stands for the first 50. This excludes the actual aeries partici...

Re: Aerobatic Extravaganza - Klerksdorp

Spoke to Jay Hyde this morning - hoping to get the Snake Microlight display team at Klerksdorp as well. This is a good opportunity for the less experienced guys to tag along. Lets make this a massive gathering of Microlights. We have friendly surroundings, no airspace restrictions and we are far awa...

Re: Buzzcom Systems

Larry's system is home grown, very robust and I am very satisfied with it. Larry had to sacrifice a lot when he went to the world Champs in the Czech Republic last year - at the same time his brother resigned from Buzzcom and Kenneth (who was the technician at the time) had to and still runs the for...

Quite a few trikers and non-aerobatic pilots have indicated that they will fly in. We have nice camping facilities available - for free. Also, there will be shuttle into town for those who wish to stay in a guest house / hotel. There is accomodation available at Kolobe, just to the west of FAKD for ...

Re: Aerobatic Extravaganza - Klerksdorp

Larry, I got the impression all the instruction etc is for free as they want to attract new blood into the sport. I you do not have your own aeri, I suppose you'll have to pay somebody to borrow his. I suggest you contact the sport aerobatic guys direct. All the grub and a lot of beer is free for pi...

Re: Aerobatic Extravaganza - Klerksdorp

Some more breaking news: The main aim of the event is to promote competition aerobatics to pilots that would love to get involved but have never had the chance or just don’t know how to go about getting started. There will be ground school courses followed by an introduction to aerobatic flying w...
