Re: "Benz" Diesel filters???
Any body doing refueling like this nowadays? Gunter Rostek. Is use a funnel with wire mesh inside (think it was R12), but would prefer something better. I like the chamois idea  Nothing like clean fuel and a smooth flight. Btw. I now use both types of filters, the glass (the proper one, not t...

Re: "Benz" Diesel filters???
Sorry to open this one up again
Bought some Benz filters from Mercedes two weeks ago, the exact ones in the picture above.
They are still available. Mercurius Polokwane had 7 in stock. They were R27 each.
I needed an extra filter to install before the fuel flow sender.

Re: Zodiac 601/ Carl Babst Raven
All of you speak the truth. It is a great plane! Flew one with a 912 extra for many hours and I can confess to many good and valid points mentioned above. Carl just finished a local Raven a week ago. It will be fitted with a 914 turbo :P Should be something to experience! Apparently Carl is not rush...

Dude at CAA told me the following: All radios needs licenses, whether handheld or mounted. If mounted, it is CAA's responsibility to make sure that you have said licenses. If handheld, it is ICASA's responsibility. Costs have apparently gone up to R650 for first time and then around R48 per year. If...

I'm with Duck on the 14,5V is too much, when you feeding it 14.5V all the time. Although you can go up to 14.4V or even 14.7V (AGM Batteries?) when controlled by a charger, but then the amps are dropped and it is done for a limited time ONLY. Overcharging the battery will cause gassing and will dry ...
